Feeling sticky? Malta records 97% humidity this morning
It’s a hot one!

Lyndsey Grima

Malta woke up under a blanket of haze this morning as, according to Facebook page, It-Temp Madwarna, humidity levels climbed to a staggering 97%, making for a particularly muggy start to the day.

The high humidity has left skies looking noticeably hazy across the islands, with reduced visibility in several areas and a heavy, sticky feel in the air.

Weather forecasts suggest the humid conditions are an early indication of a warmer spell on the way, with temperatures expected to increase over the next few days.

As the heat begins to build, residents are encouraged to stay hydrated and take extra care if spending long periods outdoors.

Did you notice this morning's hazy skies?
