Do bus drivers have the right to refuse passengers not wearing masks? Prof. Gauci responds
The new measure was clarified in the press conference.
In questions during today’s press conference, the Superintendent of Public Health Prof. Charmaine Gauci noted that bus drivers have the right to refuse passengers who are not wearing masks.
This comes as today, certain measures have been relaxed, but the use of masks has been implemented. She noted that the use of surgical masks or face shields is obligatory on the Gozo channel, in retail shops and on public transport and if passengers do not comply with these measures, drivers have the right to prohibit them from boarding.
