In an effort to learn what the best Indian restaurants in Malta and Gozo are, we have asked GuideMeMalta’s readers on where there go to spot is when they’re craving a bit of spice.

Saree, Birkirkara

Saree in Birkirkara was by far our readers most favourite Indian restaurant. Their food is delicious, their portions plentiful and all for a very reasonable price. 

Essence of India, Mellieha 

If you’re looking for an Indian restaurant with a view of Malta’s most stunning beach, Essence of India at Golden Sands’ Radisson Blu Resort & Spa is the way to go.

Shakinah, Msida

Located alongside the Ta’ Xbiex and Msida Marina, this restaurant is loved by many for its unique cocktails, a great ambience and vast menu!

The Chatterbox, Bugibba

The restaurant encompasses a relaxed atmosphere where you can enjoy authentic Indian and Asian food all cooked by chefs trained in the most prestigious luxury hotels in Asia.

New Delhi Indian Cuisine, Bugibba

With endless options to choose from on their menu, this restaurant is perfect if you wish to go on a date or organise a family dinner or maybe even order a cheeky take-away.

The Tiffin Box, Sliema

Nestled at The Plaza Shopping centre, this Indian eatery offers some great food as well as some fantastic combo meals and offers!

Trishna, Rabat Gozo

If you’re on the sister island of Gozo and not sure where to go for Indian, head over to Trishna for their mouthwatering dishes and naan bread. This restaurant also has a great vegan menu!

Mother India, Mosta

At Mother India, they serve all the typical Indian dishes and although they're all delicious, you must also try their unique Indian Pizzas.

Naan Bar, Valletta

Located in the heart of Malta’s capital city of Valletta, Naan Bar has an open kitchen so you can smell all those mouthwatering spices as soon as you step in. You must also try their lamb biryani arancini, which perfectly combines Indian and Italian cuisine.  

Mr Vindalu, Ta’ Xbiex

Mr Vindalu has some amazing Indian dishes but if you want a taste of both Indian and Maltese food their Maltese Rabbit Tikka Masala hits the spot.
