COVID-19 update: 9 new cases reported, Malta's total nears 400

During today's press briefing, Prof. Charmaine Gauci confirmed that a further 9 COVID-19 cases have been detected over the past 24 hours. Malta now registers 393 Coronavirus cases, of which 44 have so far recovered.

Included in today's new cases are a carer at an elderly people's home who was screened and tested positive prior to his shift as well as a female worker at a private company. 3 more cases were recorded at Hal Far Open Centre, a village which is currently on lockdown.

Prof. Charmaine Gauci also confirmed that 1,051 swab tests were carried out over the same period of time, bringing Malta's total to 19,121 tests.
