Cool breezes ahead! Wind, lower temperatures and showers to hit Malta later this week
Light showers are forecasted for the weekend, specifically on Sunday!

After an abnormally hot weekend, this week, Malta is set to experience a significant shift in weather patterns!

This is all due to a persistent anticyclone in the centre of the Mediterranean which is giving way to the development of a low-pressure system. With this change, we can expect fluctuations in temperature, an increase in wind speeds, and a higher chance of rain throughout the week.

Starting today, Monday 8th April, the weather will transition from clear skies to partly cloudy conditions with the arrival of some high clouds in the evening. Tuesday 9th April will see low winds and the presence of high clouds, providing a brief respite before conditions change again.

By Wednesday, 10th April, the weather will become noticeably windy, with stronger winds coming in from the northwest. This increase in wind speed will coincide with a slight increase in cloud cover, setting the stage for a more unsettled period towards the end of the week.

Thursday, 11th April, and Friday, 12th April, are expected to be fairly or mostly cloudy, with a heightened chance of rain and even thunderstorms. Saturday, 13th April, will bring some relief with more typical weather conditions, although Sunday, 14th April, is predicted to be mostly cloudy with light rain.

As for temperatures, a noticeable drop is forecasted, with maximum temperatures decreasing from 24°C on Monday to a more seasonal average of 20°C. Minimum temperatures will range between 13°C and 15°C, although wind chill may make it feel cooler. Marine temperatures are expected to be around 17°C.

Prepare for a week of changing weather conditions!
