Ciao for now! Aquarium to close due to the virus but says animals will still be in good care

Due to COVID-19, a number of establishments and companies around the island have taken the decision to close their doors until further notice. The Malta National Aquarium announced this afternoon that they will be following suit, taking measures accordingly.

In a statement on socials, the aquarium announced that it “will close its doors until further notice as from Sunday, 15th March.” They did reassure the public that despite this measure, the animals found within the aquarium will still be taken care of.

“Even though the public will not be able to visit, our animals will continue to receive all the care and love they get from our team on a regular basis.” They also thanked everyone for their support and understanding.
