All aboard! Virtu Ferries announce January sales
Quick trip to Sicily, anyone?

Kim Vella

Who doesn’t love hopping on a boat to get to their next adventure?

Sicily has always been a top destination amongst the Maltese, so much so that over 2,000 Virtu Ferries passengers disembarked at Pozzallo back in November, just in time for Black Friday weekend. Similarly, a whopping 2,500 passengers went to Sicily during the recent festive period.

Now the festive period might be over, but Virtu Ferries is giving us more and more reasons as to why we should head over to Sicily ASAP!

For starters, the catamaran company has just announced its Keep Travel Simple policy, which favours family-oriented travel.

The aim of this policy is to prioritise social distancing at all times; when on board, during check-in, embarkation and disembarkation.

The policy also means that all passengers on board Virtu Ferries must have a vaccination certificate and a negative rapid test before departing from Malta - so you can rest assured that you’re safe traveling with Virtu.

As always, Sicily is welcoming us with open arms to enjoy its beautiful hotels and restaurants in the Provinces of Ragusa, Catania and Syracuse.

So, get your skis on because those beautiful beaches aren’t the only thing this country has to offer- family skiing holiday, anyone?

Although Northern Europe may be out of the question due to the COVID-19 situation, the slopes of Etna, just 90 minutes from Pozzallo, should prove an exciting alternative this winter.

If all of this wasn’t enough, Virtu Ferries has just announced its January sales and an updated schedule. You don’t want to miss out!
