Adopt a duck today! Gozitan farm looking for people to home these cute duckies
Cute or CUTE?

Allergic to dogs or cats, but still want to adopt an animal? How about a duck?! Yes, you read that right – a quacker. A farm in Gozo is looking for people to adopt some of their ducks due to having limited space.

We spoke to the owner of the farm, Julia, who told us all about the ducks. “They were breeding when I used to have them running free in the fields,” she tells us. Basically, the ducks were a little naughty (wink wink) and they’d hide their nests around the fields. “Surprise, surprise, we had a lot of ducklings which have since grown and have been living with us.”

Julia explains that there isn’t enough space and it’s getting a little crowded on the farm, which is what lead her to take this decision. “Their space also needs renovation, so I decided to try give them away to people who are interested.” The owner has shared that they take in many unwanted animals who “live out their lives with us,” including donkeys, horses, ducks, geese, turkeys, guinea pigs, rabbits, and cats.

Will you be adopting a duck?
