A round of applause! Terry Time Trust raised over €200,000 last year in aid of the local DJ
Terry was battling Acute Myeloid Leukaemia and needed all the help he could get.

Everyone on this island heard of Terry Farrugia at least once. Terry was a beloved veteran DJ who kicked off his radio career in the early ‘90s with his popular programme Terry Time. He was a great influence on the local radio scene and also supported various local bands.

Terry was fighting a tough fight with leukaemia for the fourth time last year, when a crowdfunding page was started in January 2019 to help raise funds to treat the disease. Unfortunately, he lost his battle in May and left behind his wife and two young sons.

The trust that was set up to help with expenses raised a total of €213,711. “This money was used to cover for medication, treatment and care in the US, Air ambulance transfers and other expenses which, whilst being very much needed, are also very costly,” the trust announced this morning. “We know we did our very best in giving Terry the best chance in overcoming the challenges and we couldn’t have done this without the help of so many people.”

“Terry has touched the lives of so many people over the years and we are thankful to not only have had the pleasure to know him and work alongside him, but also very grateful to have found so much support and encouragement by so many in order to help out a friend! Once again THANK YOU!”

Terry is sorely missed, but we know there's an epic party going on in Heaven!
