A photo shared by Malta’s National Archives on this cloudy and rainy November day, shows how Maltese children used to make the best of the situation when roads flooded because of the rain.

Shot by Ernie Miller, the photo was taken 68 years ago, in 1955 after a heavy storm in Msida.

Maltese children took to the streets and started playing and splashing in the water as can be seen in the sweet photo.

They look so incredibly happy as they got their own special pool in front of their house.

Unlike today, car traffic was not as common back then and such a scene in 2023 would prove almost impossible.
