A beach lover’s paradise! Sunbed operators to free up space at Ghadira as of THIS WEEK
Operators met with government officials to come to an agreement

Local beach-goers’ prayers have been answered! Ghadira’s deckchair operators will be freeing up space on the prominent Mellieha beach after an agreement was reached with Government following complaints.

In a brief announcement on social media, Tourism Minister Konrad Mizzi said that through this “positive change, the people can after many years enjoy proper access throughout the whole bay.” While no further details about the agreement were divulged, he did say that the “implementation will happen this week” and more deets will be out “in the coming days.”

The bay, being one of the most popular ones on the island, is visited by countless locals and tourists alike each year. Many casual beach-goers have complained that the beach is so packed with umbrellas and sun beds that people who don’t want to make use of this service have nowhere to spread their towels. But, now it looks like we've got a solution!
