The 18-year-old artist got his Katy Perry portrait signed by the superstar herself
Denilson Zammit, an 18-year-old Maltese artist, managed to get his portrait of Katy Perry signed by none other than the global superstar herself.
The young artist shared photos of himself with Katy Perry, who was in Malta to perform at the Isle of MTV festival.
“To Denilson – you’re amazing, keep going,” she wrote.
Denilson said that he admired Katy growing up and could never have imagined that he would one day hand her one of his works.
“Growing up, I found pieces of myself in Katy’s lyrics. She’s always been a walking example of staying true to yourself, rising above the hate, and never letting it stop you.”
“To everyone who had something negative to say about me or what I do... lol well, Katy Perry seemed to like it.”
“Safe to say the 10-year-old inside me could not have been happier. A full-circle moment I’ll never forget.”
