Yay! You can once again visit these awesome Heritage Malta sites from July
They’re re-opening to the public after being closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As public health measures related to the COVID-19 pandemic continue to lift, Heritage Malta has announced the re-opening of several of its sites in July. Here’s how it’s going to go down: 

Fom 1st July:

The National Museum of Archaeology, MUŻA, Fort St Elmo and the National War Museum will be open to visitors from Wednesdays till Sundays (10am– 6pm; last admission at 5:30pm). Admission is free of charge for all visitors until further notice.

From 6th July:

Ħal Saflieni Hypogeum will re-open from Monday, 6th July. Tickets, including the last minute tickets, will be available online in the coming days. The tickets for the audiovisual will be suspended until further notice. From 6th to 19th July, all tickets for the Hypogeum will be at half price. From 20th July onwards, ticket fees will be at a normal price.

From 7th July:

The Inquisitor’s Palace, Domvs Romana, Ta’ Ħaġrat, Skorba, Ċittadella Museums and Visitor Centre will be open to visitors on Tuesdays and Saturdays (10am-5pm; last admission at 4:30pm). Normal admission fees apply.

From 8th July: 

Tarxien Temples, Ġgantija Temples, Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra Temples, St. Paul’s Catacombs, and Fort St Angelo will be open to visitors from Wednesdays till Sundays (10am – 6pm; last admission at 5:30pm). Normal admission fees apply.

Heritage Malta CEO Noel Zammit stated the the Agency is ready to continue opening more sites and museums. Mr Zammit said that from next month, the first tourists are expected to visit our islands, who together with the Maltese, are at the centre of the service offered by Heritage Malta. He explained that during the COVID-19 pandemic, Heritage Malta has adapted its operations to ensure that the Maltese people will remain close to their cultural heritage.
