Congratulations are in order! Last week, the Zabbar Local Council took home the award for the Best Social Media Campaign at the annual awards organised by the Malta Communications Authority.
The colourful installation has been featured in photography exhibitions in Paris, Singapore and Saudi Arabia, raking in praise about this cool street.
The vibrant umbrellas came about in June 2018 after a number of organisations based in Zabbar came together to decorate one of the locality’s main streets. This year, the Zabbar umbrellas, as everyone calls them, made an appearance once again in May, when the same organisations came together once more. And obviously, many locals and visitors alike have been flocking to the colourful street to grab that Insta-worthy shot.
