Way to go Malta! In a new study released by travel website Asher & Lyric, Malta has made the top 10 list of the safest countries for the LGBTQ community around the world.
“Instead of relying on hearsay and anecdotes from other travellers, we took a deep look at LGBTQ+ rights, country by country. We’ve gathered data from a variety of trusted international sources to create a ‘LGBTQ+ Danger Index’ that will help you find the worst (and safest) countries for LGBTQ+ travel.”
The top 10 safest countries are:
1. Norway
2. Portugal
3. Belgium
4. United Kingdom
5. Finland
6. France
7. Canada
8. Spain
9. Sweden
10. Malta
If this was a school project, Malta would get a B+, acquiring 269 points on the Danger Index. Score!
