Destiny is killing it! Malta’s Eurovision star has signed a record deal with Sony Music for her hit, Je Me Casse which we’ve all been vibing to.
This deal proves that Je Me Casse has the potential to be a worldwide hit. We definitely think so – have you HEARD those notes? After being released just three weeks and revealed as Malta’s Eurovision entry, the song’s music video has already hit three million views on YouTube.
“It is with great pleasure that we confirm our signing of Sony Music Sweden with the talented artist Destiny for the song Je Me Casse,” the music industry giant said in a press release. “Sony Music is very excited and looking forward to making Destiny a worldwide household name.” #DestinedForGreatness ta veru!
Destiny also shared a message on social media about the news. “This is very exciting to see so much interest in the song from various industry giants. All this re-affirms that we’re on the right track,” she shared. “A special THANK YOU goes to all of you out there. Thank you for your support, you keep me going and I can't wait to go on that stage and give it my all!”
Destiny’s song has been a major hit among Eurovision fans and commentators, with bookmakers even ranking her on top in the odds to take home the title this year. At the time of writing, Destiny is in the lead by a four per cent margin at 17 per cent followed by both France and Switzerland at 13 per cent.
