A remarkable milestone has been achieved in the local performing arts scene as Valletta Resounds: The Caravaggio Experience received an award from Malta Records for the highest number of performances under a historical roof.

This unique production has captivated audiences with 75 shows held at the iconic St John’s Co-Cathedral since its debut in April 2023. The immersive experience, which brings to life the artistic genius of Caravaggio, has left an indelible mark on Malta's cultural landscape.

Jeremy Grech, who portrays Fra Bartholomeo in the production, expressed his excitement on social media upon receiving the unexpected recognition. ‘An extremely unexpected award,’ he wrote, reflecting his gratitude and surprise at the honor.

Grech also hinted at the production's future ambitions, playfully adding, ‘See you at 100,’ suggesting that Valletta Resounds is far from finished in its journey to entertain and inspire audiences.

This award not only celebrates the dedication of the cast and crew but also highlights the enduring appeal of staging artistic performances in Malta’s historical landmarks, merging heritage and creativity in a unique way.
