Balluta's iconic Piccolo Padre opens new Sliema Ferries location
The Mediterranean restaurant traces its roots to the 1970s

One of Balluta Bay’s best-known restaurants has embarked on a new chapter, with Piccolo Padre opening a second location along the Sliema Ferries.

The Mediterranean restaurant, which traces its roots to the 1970s, is well-known for its wood-fired pizzas, fresh fish and seaside location.

Its new restaurant brings the Piccolo Padre name further along the coastline.

Owner Carlo Stivala – who acquired Piccolo Padre in 2021– said diners should expect the same concept that has long characterised the restaurant, albeit in a more modern setting.

Like its Balluta counterpart, the new Piccolo Padre also enjoys a waterfront setting, giving diners views across the harbour from the Sliema Ferries.
