The official stage design for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026 has been unveiled, offering the first glimpse of the performance space that will welcome young musical talent from across Europe to Malta.

Inspired by the colour, architecture and spectacle of the Maltese festa, the stage combines traditional local influences with a contemporary design created for a major international music event.

The central stage is surrounded by architectural elements inspired by Maltese streetscapes, including colourful façades and traditional balconies. Curved scenic structures, layered lighting and large digital screens add a dynamic and modern feel to the space.

Rather than directly recreating a traditional festa, the concept draws on its atmosphere and transforms familiar Maltese elements into stage architecture, lighting and scenic details. This allows Malta’s cultural identity to feature throughout the show while giving each participating country the flexibility to create its own visual world.

The circular layout has also been designed to bring performers closer to the audience while offering multiple camera angles. Lighting, graphics, choreography and movement will further allow each performance to develop its own identity.

The stage reveal marks an important milestone ahead of the contest, which will take place in Malta on 24 October 2026.

By placing the Maltese festa at the heart of the design, the production aims to celebrate local culture while delivering the energy and scale expected of an international music spectacle.
