Who is the most Maltese character on Game of Thrones?
With the show back on our screens, we just have to ask – which character is most like us?

Marie-Claire Grima

After a long wait, Game of Thrones is finally back on our screens for its final run. Although we sadly haven’t seen any of Malta in the show since the first season, it doesn’t stop us from looking at the characters and thinking “Huh, they’re just like us, but with dragons.”

With that in mind, we went through some of the most prominent characters, figured out their most typically Maltese traits, and worked out a highly-scientific *cough* ranking based on that. Let’s begin.

Jon Snow

Maltese traits: Curly dark hair, well-groomed beard, is accidentally dating someone he’s related to #smallislandproblems

Maltese rating: 76%

Danaerys Targaryen

Maltese traits: Impervious to hot temperatures, fluent in an ancient and obscure language, once ate a horse’s heart, eyebrows don’t match hair.

Maltese rating: 91%

Varys

Maltese traits: Loves a good bit of gossip, flamboyant sense of style, extremely bald.

Maltese rating: 61%

Cersei Lannister

Maltese traits: Looooves wine, a real mama bear, disapproves of all her children’s spouses.

Maltese rating: 80%

Melisandre

Maltese traits: Religious fanatic, meddles too much and then regrets it, goes to great lengths to conceal her age.

Maltese rating: 79%

Arya

Maltese traits: Short but packs a punch, loyal to family above all else, never lets go of a grudge.

Maltese rating: 70%

The Night King

Maltese traits: A powerful leader who is blindly followed by a vast, unquestioning horde, the other side is terrified of him, has a soft spot for babies.

Maltese rating: 89%

But I think we all know who the most Maltese character of all was…

Khal Drogo

This guy! Literally got married in Gozo and had a wedding party with thousands of his closest friends and relatives, tough as nails on the outside but a real softy with his loved ones, a penchant for tribal body art, and the best tan on the show. We miss him.

Maltese rating: 100%

Did we miss anyone? Let us know.
