Ira Losco took to Facebook to celebrate the 20^th anniversary of her ‘7^th Wonder’ Eurovision performance in Talin, Estonia.

Malta was just 12 points away from taking the top crown but the universe had a different plan as Latvia snatched the first place.

“I've said this many a time ranking is not important, what has transpired to be FAR more important to me is that this marked the beginning of a 20-year career, which still has me making music and sharing it with you all”, Ira wrote.

Ira eventually returned to the Eurovision 14 years later with ‘Walk on Water’ and placed 12^th.

This was the first time Malta placed second, but this was soon followed by Chiara who also placed second in 2005 with ‘Angel.’ To this day Malta is still yet to win the Eurovision Song Contest even though Malta has entered the Eurovision a total of 34 times.
