Heads up, drivers! Major lane closure announced on Triq Mikiel Anton Vassalli as Msida Creek project continues
The long-awaited Msida Creek project is moving into its next phase, and with it comes an important traffic update that motorists should take note of.
Infrastructure Malta has just announced that a major section of Triq Mikiel Anton Vassalli – the main road linking St Julian’s to Valletta – will be temporarily reduced to one lane in the Valletta-bound direction.
This change will take effect from Thursday 7th August and remain in place until Monday 15th September, covering a period of roughly five weeks. The lane closure is due to ongoing flyover construction works, which form part of the wider Msida Creek traffic upgrade project aimed at easing congestion in one of Malta’s busiest areas.
If this road is part of your daily commute, it’s definitely worth checking live traffic updates before setting off – or even better, consider alternative routes where possible to avoid delays during this period.
Stay patient, plan ahead, and drive safely!
