The Malta Records just revealed on their social media that a new national record has been broken this weekend by none other than Sannat, Gozo.

The record goes to their fireworks display during their local feast of Santa Margerita, more specifically to, what is called, the ‘kaxxa tal-hrug'.

A whopping 1,129 shots were shot in the sky as a signal to kick off the feast procession. Each shot was accompanied by coloured smoke which was released in the sky. The fireworks display included firecrackers, balloons and sparklers!

What do you think of this new record? Are you a fan of fireworks?
