Heads up! Change to waste collection schedule during the festive season in Malta & Gozo
Recyclables will still be collected on 26th and 31st December.

Francesca Vella

If you’re planning your festive clean-up before having your loved ones over to celebrate Christmas, take note: no waste collection will take place in Malta and Gozo on Christmas Day (25 December) and New Year’s Day (1 January).

To help prevent a build-up of waste during the busy festive period, special arrangements have been put in place for recyclable waste. Collections will also take place on 26 December and 31 December, alongside the organic waste collection, which will continue according to the normal schedule.

Residents are encouraged to plan ahead and dispose of their waste accordingly to help keep our streets clean throughout the holidays.

Plan your clean-ups wisely!
