Gozo High Speed has announced the addition of extra ferry trips on New Year’s Eve, ensuring smoother travel for passengers heading to or from Gozo to celebrate the arrival of 2026.

In response to high demand during one of the busiest nights of the year, the company has scheduled two additional crossings on Wednesday, 31 December 2025, giving travellers more flexibility and peace of mind.

The extra trips are designed to accommodate late-night celebrants and those planning to enjoy festivities on either island without worrying about limited transport options.

Departures from Mġarr are scheduled at 22:15, arriving in Valletta at 23:00, while a return crossing from Valletta will depart at 01:00 and arrive back in Mġarr at 01:45. These timings allow passengers to comfortably enjoy New Year’s Eve events before and after midnight.

Will you be heading to and from Gozo this New Year’s Eve?

29th December 2025
