It’s Gozo’s time to shine! Gozo has just received international recognition, earning a place on Wanderlust magazine’s prestigious ‘Good to Go List 2026’, as announced by Visit Malta UK on Instagram.

The accolade places the sister island among a carefully curated selection of global destinations recommended for the year ahead, highlighting Gozo’s growing appeal on the world travel stage.

Renowned for its rich history and slower pace of life, Gozo stands out for offering an authentic Mediterranean experience. From ancient temples and historic citadels to picturesque villages, the island’s cultural heritage continues to captivate visitors seeking depth and character rather than mass tourism.

Wanderlust’s recognition also shines a spotlight on Gozo’s strong sense of community, where local traditions remain very much alive.

Another key factor behind Gozo’s inclusion is its community-driven gastronomy. Local produce, traditional recipes, and family-run eateries play a central role in the island’s identity, offering visitors a genuine taste of Gozitan life. Farm-to-table dining, seasonal ingredients, and culinary festivals have helped position Gozo as a destination for food lovers looking for authenticity.

Being featured on this global list confirms that Gozo may be small in size, but it continues to make a big impression.

Will you be heading to Gozo in 2026?
