Well done! Maltese athlete Rachela Pace breaks two national records at the American Outdoor Championships
Reaching new heights!

Maltese athlete Rachela Pace continues to rewrite history, this time at the American Outdoor Championships in Charlotte, where she delivered two record-breaking performances over the weekend.

In an undeniable demonstration of talent, Rachela first smashed her own Triple Jump national record, leaping to 13.41m and claiming gold in the process. Her previous best, 13.40m, had only been set in February 2024, making this latest feat a rapid and impressive improvement.

But she didn’t stop there! Rachela went on to deliver another stellar performance in the Long Jump, where she secured a silver medal with a massive 6.48m jump on her final attempt. The competition was fierce, with Norway’s Ida Breigan taking gold at 6.50m, but Rachela's final effort was enough to etch her name into Malta’s athletics history books once again with yet another new national record.

Congratulations, Rachela – Malta is cheering you on all the way!
