Smashing records! Maltese athlete sets the Triple Jump Indoor national record in America
The Maltese athlete Rachela Pace has set a new national record in the Triple Jump Indoor event.
While competing at the Don Kirby Elite indoor Invitational in New Mexico (USA), Rachela beat her own previously set national record.
She smashed the record after covering a total distance of 13.40 metres.
During the competition, she placed second, only being beat by Emilia Sjostrand.
Not only did she smash the national record, but Rachela also broke the record of Fresno State university, the school she is currently attending.
