Wednesday 2nd September: Malta records 22 new cases & 37 recoveries of COVID-19

According to the figures published by the Health Authority’s Facebook page, Sahha, Malta has registered 22 new cases of COVID-19 after 2,067 swabs were done in the past 24 hours.

The post also noted that, “Today's cases are still being investigated. From yesterday's cases: 6 cases were family members of a previously known cae, 3 cases were work colleagues of positive cases, 1 cases was a contct from social gatherings, 1 case was a direct contact of a positive case and 1 cases was imported.”

The islands have registered 37 more recoveries, bringing the total recovery tally to 1,490 and the number of active cases down to 428. Since the outbreak, Malta has recorded 1,931 cases and has performed 194,576 swab tests.
