Beach Atlas, a London-based startup that specialises in world beaches has listed Malta’s very own St Peter’s pool as one of the top 100 beaches all across the world.

The portal consulted with many travellers and experts to come up with a list and a selection that “goes beyond the conventional”.

Criteria for the curation of the list included classical beauty, cultural significance, natural diversity, community, party and lifestyle.

Thus, it will come as no surprise to the many that have visited St Peter’s Pool and were struck with its beauty that the beach was included on the list.

“St. Peter's Pool near Marsaxlokk, Malta, is a hidden gem, famed for its natural beauty and crystal-clear waters. Surrounded by unique rock formations, this natural pool invites adventurous visitors to dive from cliffs into its refreshing embrace”, the article read.

“The turquoise waters, enriched by the sea flowing through a natural slit, stand in stunning contrast to the warm hues of the surrounding rocks, making it a picturesque spot for relaxation and exhilaration”, it continued.

Other beaches on the list included Bora Bora in French Polynesia, Black Sand beach in Iceland, Bondi Beach in Australia and many more.
