Over the weekend, a number of local organisations teamed up with the Hal Kirkop Local Council to create decorations for the southern locality made of recycled material. You go, kids!
Charles Buttigieg was the brains behind the idea, thinking up a gigantic ball as the main attraction. In an interview with Television Malta, he explains that creating recycled art has been a hobby of his for four years. And get this – he even broke the national record last year for the largest Christmas ball, and also broke his own record this year. What a legend.
The decorations were on display at this weekend’s Christmas market in Kirkop, with life-size decorations, stalls and entertainment. And judging by the event's response, it was quite the hit!
Merry Christmas Kirkopians!
