Another great milestone for Maltese culture and heritage! Nine of Heritage Malta’s attractions have been awarded the Quality Assured Seal for Visitor Attractions by the Malta Tourism Authority. Yas! This seal is a recognised brand associated with the ability to consistently deliver a quality product.

The Heritage Malta attractions which have received the prestigious award are:

1. The Hagar Qim temples in Qrendi

2. The Mnajdra Temples in Qrendi

3. The Tarxien Temples

4. The Ggantija Temples in Xaghra (Gozo)

5. The Hal Saflieni Hypogeum in Paola

6. St Paul’s Catacombs in Rabat

7. Fort St Angelo in Birgu

8. Fort St Elmo (including the National War Museum) in Valletta

9. National Museum of Archaeology in Valletta

The main aims behind this Quality Assured Seal are to assist tourists in making a more informed choice when visiting attractions, to help quality attractions gain a competitive edge, and to encourage a quality leap in the sector through the creation of benchmarks.

The uniqueness and authenticity of the attractions, the impeccable state of the historical sites, the variety of interpretation methods and the extensive opening hours, together with smart, friendly and helpful staff were among some of the commendations received by Heritage Malta in the detailed audit reports.

All this and the grandeur found within these historical sites are what ultimate attract so many tourists all year round!
