The customs team

MIA also has a customs team (or dwana as we say in Maltese). These four-legged friends keep everything (and everyone) in check when travelling through the airport.

These doggos have had quite the busy July! Last month, 798,453 passengers were recorded flying to and from Malta, resulting in an increase of 5.6 per cent over the same month last year. These doggos kept an average of 25,700 passengers safe every day, with people coming from all over Europe, including top markets like the UK, Italy, Germany, France and Spain.

Have you spotted these cute furry friends at MIA?
