Watchdog duty! Meet the adorable furry friends keeping Malta’s airport in ship shape!
These four-legged colleagues work just as hard as the personnel at Malta International Airport (MIA). That's right - these adorable doggos are on duty, and help keep the airport in tip-top shape.
The airport team works paw-in-hand with each other to ensure passengers travel safely through Malta's airport. And here are just some of the cutie patooties working incredibly hard on the daily.
Kia
Kia is one doggo on the K9 team ensuring all passengers are kept safe at all times. How adorable is she?
Ranvej
Ranvej flew all the way from Czech Republic to join the local police canine team, and specialises in crowd control at the airport. What a legend!
The customs team
MIA also has a customs team (or dwana as we say in Maltese). These four-legged friends keep everything (and everyone) in check when travelling through the airport.
These doggos have had quite the busy July! Last month, 798,453 passengers were recorded flying to and from Malta, resulting in an increase of 5.6 per cent over the same month last year. These doggos kept an average of 25,700 passengers safe every day, with people coming from all over Europe, including top markets like the UK, Italy, Germany, France and Spain.
Have you spotted these cute furry friends at MIA?
