By now, unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’d know that Pete Buttigieg, Maltese-American mayor of South Bend, Indiana, is contesting for the big spot in the White House. Yup, if he wins, there will be Maltese blood running the Land of the Free!

Mayor Pete, as everyone in South Bend calls him, even posted a pronunciation guide on his Twitter bio: all together now, BOOT-edge-edge. Hilariously, this led one creative dude, Aaron Nemo, an associate producer on the Late Show With Stephen Colbert, to record an animated song that will help people remember. And it's brilliant!

Aaron mentions all the ways that people have pronounced Buttigieg, including badger-judge, boat-tea-church, bowling-jewish, bush-toe-(gargle), exaggerating the whole thing!

Mayor Pete is gaining 2020 momentum for the presidential race. His campaign is seeing large crowds coming out to meet him, big fundraising numbers, an increase in Google searches and air time. So who knows, maybe he will be sworn in after all!
