Malta Public Transport has announced a significant expansion of its Night Bus network, introducing new routes and increased frequency to better serve passengers travelling during late hours.

These improvements, set to take effect on 5th April 2026, aim to enhance connectivity across the island while making night-time travel more accessible and efficient.

Malta bus routes

Among the key updates is the introduction of four new night routes linking Valletta with several localities. The N3 will connect Valletta to Kalkara, while the N52 will serve passengers travelling to Dingli.

The N71 route will operate between Valletta and Żurrieq, with slightly adjusted schedules on weekdays and weekends. Meanwhile, the N120 will run between Xgħajra and Pembroke, offering additional cross-island connectivity during the night.

In addition to these new routes, existing services will also benefit from improved frequency. The N13 route will see more frequent departures from Valletta, operating every 10 minutes between 23:10 and 02:10 on weekdays. Similarly, the N212 route from Bugibba will increase its service, with buses running every 20 minutes between 23:50 and 01:30 throughout the week.
