An interesting video posted by Fondi.eu's Facebook page takes viewers on a remarkable journey of transformation as they witness the before and after of the Xewkija Windmill in Gozo.

This windmill, which stands as Gozo's oldest, underwent an extensive rehabilitation process thanks to EU Funds. The restoration project included a comprehensive overhaul of both the windmill's exterior and interior.

Additionally, mechanical and electrical installation works were carried out, along with enhancements to the surrounding area.

One of the most impressive aspects of this restoration is the meticulous reconstruction of the windmill's mechanism, which was crafted from scratch by two skilled carpenters.

The Xewkija Windmill is now open to the public daily, from 08:30 to 20:30, free of charge.

Have you ever visited the Xewkija Windmill?
