Get ready for one of Gozo’s most enchanting nights of the year, as Lejl Imkebbes returns to the historic Cittadella on Saturday 28th March from 6pm onwards for its 2026 edition – and this year promises to be more magical than ever!

This year's Easter Edition, promises intricate candle arrangements that promise to illuminate the historic streets, creating a truly unforgettable atmosphere.

On this special evening, the iconic hilltop fortress in Victoria will once again be transformed into a glowing spectacle, with numerous candles lighting up its winding streets, bastions, and hidden corners. The warm, flickering light creates an atmosphere like no other – romantic, serene, and definitely photo-worthy!

Adding to the night’s glow, this year’s edition brings even more magic, offering something new for both first-timers and returning visitors. Expect artistic artefacts & installations that bring the centuries-old walls to life, and striking new light structures that elevate the overall visual experience.

After you’re done admiring the lights, enjoy the candlelight entertainment area perfectly tuned to the event’s tranquil ambience, as well as some live re-enactments, roaming performers, and artists hiding behind every corner. If you want to enjoy the historican side of the spot, there will also be free entrance to all the museums within the Cittadella for that one night only.

You can also enjoy free entrance to all museums for one magical night!

Will you be there?
