Everyone on the island has heard of Pawlu Curmi, Malta’s very own King of Carnival who shows up to put a smile on everyone’s face. Earlier today, Pawlu was featured in a Valletta guide’s video banging away on a bright yellow bucket outside his home.

“Whilst guiding in the lower part of Valletta, I stopped to salute the King of Carnival, Pawlu Curmi, il-Pampalun. This is his tribute to one of our lovely Brazilian students,” wrote Stanley Cassar Darien on Facebook. At 90 years young, Pawlu is definitely living it up!
