If you needed a reason to crack a smile today, the Association for Abandoned Animals has supplied a whole litter of them – literally.
This afternoon the Association for Abandoned Animals (AAA) shared an irresistible post featuring a bundle of SEVEN Pharaoh Hound puppies (Malta’s very own national hound, in case you didn’t know) that they took in this weekend along with their mama.
Adorable? Absolutely.
Their arrival is a reminder of the ongoing work this volunteer-run organisation carries out every single day.
For years, the AAA has been rescuing Malta’s abandoned and neglected dogs while running their free neutering campaign. Thanks to the support of selected vets, anyone on benefits – or anyone genuinely unable to afford the procedure – can have their dog neutered through the AAA.
And now, with Christmas around the corner, the AAA is inviting the public to sprinkle a little festive kindness on the animals who need it most. Their Christmas Wish List is simple, practical, and full of opportunities to make a real difference.
Monetary donations can be made through SMS. Or, if shopping is more your style, the dogs are always grateful for wet food, treats, biscuits, bones, and cleaning supplies like metal buckets, brooms, bleach, dish soap, and… well, anything that keeps a sanctuary running smoothly. Pet shop vouchers are also hugely appreciated.
And if you can’t make it to the sanctuary, the AAA can even pick up donations, especially in the south and central areas.
So, this Christmas, if you’re looking for a small act of kindness that delivers a big wagging tail in return, AAA’s furry residents are waiting – paws up and hopeful.
