You can catch a glimpse of some Maltese fortifications towards the end of the film.
Vogue Portugal’s latest fashion film has chosen the Maltese islands as its backdrop.
Shot and written by Malta-based videographer James Vernon, ‘A Love Trilogy – Part 2: Joana’ starts off by showing a couple descending a flight of stairs, before dancing in front of an instantly recognisable Maltese door, adorned with a Maltese cross.
The two-minute film is shot from the perspective of the woman, Joana, who is unsure whether she’s truly in love with her significant other or just pretending to be.
The couple continues to walk towards the sea, where the male partner stops for a dip. As Joana looks on, she concludes that by pretending to be in love, she actually did fall in love.
The last shot of the film shows Joana looking fondly out at sea, backed by some iconic Maltese fortifications.
‘A Love Trilogy – Part 2: Joana’ features Joana Preiss and Clément Chabernaud.
