WATCH: Local designer showcases beautiful Maltese colours in new EU Council video
Meet Stephanie Borg, a local designer and painter who has created an impeccable and totally unique collection inspired by our islands. In a video posted to socials by the Council of the European Union, the Council says that it “works actively to protect European heritage sites” and this collection is a “valuable source of inspiration for artists.”
“I’ve worked on this collection inspired by my country for the past 11 years,” begins Stephanie. “I think my work sends out a message that we need to preserve, treasure and celebrate traditions inherited from past generations.”
The video features various parts of the collection, including some stunning depictions of the Maltese tile or maduma, Maltese doors, and other notable symbols. “I’d like to continue exporting my country’s cultural heritage, that would of course be a great wish of mine!” she says.
