In the ongoing press conference, Prime Minister Robert Abela has announced new initiatives to entice locals to invest in local tourism. In light of this, every person over the age of 16 will be given cash vouchers worth €100 to spend in restaurants, accommodations and shops, licensed by the Tourism Ministry

So, if a four-person household has all its residents over the age of 16, that household will receive €400 to spend on local tourism. Economic Minister Silvio Schembri noted that these vouchers are valid until September 2020.
