Today's Coronavirus briefing will go ahead as usual at 12:30pm.

During the press conference, the Superintendent of Public Health Prof. Charmaine Gauci is expected to share details of new cases in Malta recorded over the past 24 hours.

Malta currently has 444 confirmed cases, 276 of which are active. Three Coronavirus-related deaths have been recorded so far.

The relatively low number of cases reported over the last few days has prompted many to hope for an early ease in restrictions, with Health Minister Chris Fearne tentatively confirming this could start occuring gradually over the coming days.

Nevertheless, Health Authorities warn that this does not mean the pandemic has been beaten and continue to stress the importance of following health directives and practise social isolation.

When she’s not having a quarter-life crisis, Caroline is either drawing in a café, frittering her salary on sushi or swearing at traffic in full-on Gozitan. There is also the occasional daytime drink somewhere in the equation. Or two. A creative must be allowed at least one vice.
