Over the weekend, the famed Juventus football player Claudio Marchisio was on our rock, and from what we can see, he loved every bit of it. “He cannot stop taking photos of beautiful Malta,” wrote Juventus Club Malta Cuore Bianconero, captioning a photo of the footballer taking a coastal boat trip. He loved our islands so much, he posted to socials about his experience here.

“I’ve been thinking about the last three days I spent in Malta,” he starts off, joking that he’s stuck in traffic in Torino. “I’d like to thank all the friends and supporters of Juventus Club Malta Cuore Bianconero for the last three days, for the amazing organisation and hospitality. I thank you from the bottom of my heart,” he says.

“I suggest you take a trip to visit Malta,” he continues, enticing his followers. “Not only the Juventus fans, but everyone, because it’s a wonderful country and the people welcome you in the best way possible and it’s a land waiting to be discovered.” During his stay, he was also appointed as the Honorary President of the local club, becoming the first player to hold this role.
