We smell a Love Island link too..
MTV just released a video promoting season 2 of their True Love or True Lies? series and after viewing it, we’re pretty darn sure Malta had some involvement in the project.
From the strangely familiar architecture and environment to the massive poster of rural Malta blasted across the living room backdrop, it all seems to indicate that the island has in fact recently hosted one of Europe’s trendiest production houses. The video not only gives us a glimpse of the (Maltese?) mansion used, but also reveals the series’ presenter; none other than Love Island winner Dani Dyer.
In a caption on Instagram, Dani gushed about her excitement for the release of the new season, and admits that “it has been so hard to keep this show a secret! 🤫I’m so excited to finally announce it.” She was also involved in the previous edition, where she provided voiceovers to amp the narrative.
The series will feature eight couples who over the span of episodes will have to spot which duos are in a relationship and which pairs are faking it in the ultimate deception and detection test.
Set to air on Monday 21st October at 9pm on MTV, True Love or True Lies? is certain to fill the gap for Love Island fans!
