They’re as dramatic as we are!

Do you ever just wonder (like when you’re lying awake in bed at night) what foreigners would think of Maltese snacks and drinks? This video shows just that. Six Irish locals tested four of them, and honestly, their reactions are hilarious!

1. Pizza Rings

They freaaked out because the Mr Riley mascot looks exactly like their Mr Tayto. “I hate to say this but I feel like they’re going to be delicious.” One participant rated them “10/10 for texture! It’s just light and fluffy. I’d go to Malta just for this!”

2. Kinnie

They obviously tried our famous Kinnie drink. “This isn’t the colour I was expecting,” said one participant. “It’s brown! My brain says ‘Cola,’ but the can says ‘orange!’ What’s that about?” said another participant. Kinnie received some mixed reviews, but was liked overall. One even thought of throwing in a little bit of vodka. Why not?!

3. Bacos

“That’s the smiliest tiger I’ve ever seen,” noted one participant. Someone else said, “That’s a very bacony bacon fry.” Agreed dude! “I can’t stop eating them, they’re so good!” said another. Seems like this snack won them over.

4. Cisk

“This is ‘sisk’,” said one of the participants. I’ll stop you right there, kiddo. It’s pronounced as ‘chisk.’ Moving on… “I find this easier to drink than the orange soda thing,” said someone else, referring to Kinnie. “I’m very impressed.”

They should have really tried out Twistees. They would have gone NUTS!
