Local superstar Jacob is not an unfamiliar face among the Maltese. A staunch advocate for community wellbeing, Jacob is constantly implementing further ideas and projects into his mother-business Jacob’s Brew - Pay It Forward, and is very well on the way to creating a social revolution.

In a video posted recently on Facebook, Jacob explains how he went from the brink of death to kick-ass survivor to social entrepreneur, all before the age of 20. The video highlights the several projects that have been keeping this young man, as well as his dedicated family, busy over the past years... namely projects like Crafts and coffees for charity - a meet-up where knitted items are then passed on to those in need, The Reunited Pet Cabin – a building at the hospital specifically geared towards pet therapy, and Jacob’s Coffee Run, where a team delivers food and snacks to family members waiting at the ITU.
An intrinsically sincere and motivated character, Jacob’s narrative is also spurred by his own personal experience. Six years ago, he contracted a serious brain infection that could have had fatal consequences. Despite pulling through, his life was forever altered. Jacob didn’t let the negativity dampen his big heart and with the aid of his tight-knit family, they opened a café in the South of Malta, whose revenues are partially donated to Survivors Malta, an organisation that helps families deal with traumatic events.
