With the traditional Feast of Imnarja just around the corner, locals are gearing up for a fantastic feast filled with activities, customs and lots of food (because obvs).
Gozo’s town of Nadur, like Rabat in Malta, is known to be a popular spot to celebrate the Feast of Imnarja on 29th June, and you guessed it... they’ve already started with the festivities. A thrilling Band Concert was put up in the town’s square last weekend, which showcased popular artists including the Gozitan group Cash & Band, traditional feast songs and modern tunes.
But that’s not all. Incredible synchronised fireworks were bursting through the sky as the band, directed by Mro Joseph Grech, played on, which was also accompanied by 3D projects on the façade of the Nadur Basilica. How cool is that?!
This year’s feast celebrations continuing next week in Nadur include various band marches with the statue of St Peter and St Paul, stunning fireworks displays both in air and on ground, among others.
