WATCH: Gozo ferry receives battering from Gale Force winds this morning
We're turning green just looking at it

What's worse than being stuck in endless traffic during a storm? Taking a trip on the Gozo ferry. Although a relaxing prospect in calmer circumstances, commuters are in for a rough ride today, with the ferry spotted this morning tilting from side to side in an attempt to counter the waves.

The Gozo Channel and its respective anchoring stations are known to have suffered over the years at the hands of gale-force winds, with parked cars being dragged into the sea and the physical link between the island temporarily stalled.

Although the Gozo Channel is still currently operating, don't be surprised if your trip is delayed today, as winds are set to intensify further along the day. Time to get your sailor boots on!

When she’s not having a quarter-life crisis, Caroline is either drawing in a café, frittering her salary on sushi or swearing at traffic in full-on Gozitan. There is also the occasional daytime drink somewhere in the equation. Or two. A creative must be allowed at least one vice.
