WATCH: Footage of Mosta’s Rotunda shows stunning details of this majestic Basilica
Mosta’s parish church, commonly known as the Rotunda of Mosta, is one magnificent building – that’s a given. But this amazing footage that the Mosta Parish Facebook page has released shows the glorious basilica like never before.

The footage gives an eagle-eye view of the basilica and its dome in the beautiful surroundings of the central town of Mosta. And what a sight she is!

The clip then takes us through the church to uncover all the history it contains. Incredible artworks including paintings, sculptures and architectural details etched into the walls are featured, all representing biblical scenes or having historical connections.

A replica of the 500kg bomb that pierced the dome and fell through the church during Holy Mass in April 1942 is also featured. A congregation of more than 300 people were present in the church on the day, but thankfully, it didn’t explode. The event is still interpreted by locals as miracle till this day.
